Job Description

Our Company is one of North America's largest architectural glass & aluminum fabricators and distributors, with many locations nationwide. We are currently seeking a Bi-lingual Human Resources Generalist located at our City of Industry, California facility. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

HR Business Partner to the General Manager

Handle day-to-day branch employee issues such as receiving applications, processing new hire paperwork, drug testing, background checks, benefit coordination, exit interviews, terminations, and misc. employee issues pertaining to human resource policies and procedures.

Serve as point of contact at the branch level regarding human resource policies and procedures.

Heavy Recruiting to include interviews, tests, and selecting employees to fill vacant positions at the Branch Level.

Process time and attendance (Kronos) at the branch level and transmit information to Corporate on a bi-weekly basis.

Benefits: Coordinate enrollments, changes, and terminations for branch employees in various benefits programs and submit proper forms to Corporate HR for processing. 

Conduct open enrollment meetings and training sessions as needed.

Normally involved in the actual reporting of Workers Compensation accidents to insurance.

 Participate in all safety programs, including all related meetings, trainings and reporting. 

Advises management and Regional HR Manager in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues. 

Maintains knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.

 

 

 

 

 

Experience/Education:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, PHR or SHRM certification, Three to Five years of Human Resources experience. Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred, Working knowledge of Microsoft office.  Kronos experience is very helpful.   Manufacturing experience preferred. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
