Job Description

Our Company is one of North America's largest architectural glass & aluminum fabricators and distributors, with many locations nationwide. We are currently seeking a Bi-lingual Human Resources Generalist located at our City of Industry facility.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Handle day-to-day branch employee issues such as receiving applications, processing new hire paperwork, drug testing, benefit administration, exit interviews, terminations, background checks and other misc. employee issues pertaining to human resource policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for employee relations and diplomatically handling employee complaints and concerns
  • Full cycle recruiting talent at all levels within the facility. The goal being to continuously up-grade the quality of applicants and new-hires as the opportunity presents itself.
  • Process Time and Attendance at the branch level and transmit information to Corporate on a weekly basis
  • Process new hire paperwork, benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations for facility employees as needed and submit proper forms to Corporate HR for processing
  • Coordinates with Regional HR Manager on terminations, promotions, demotions and other misc separations.
  • Normally involved in the actual reporting of Workers Compensation accidents to insurance.
  • Develop and Coordinate programs to recognize, reward and motivate employees by creating an atmosphere of teamwork among all employees.
  • Plant visits to assist employees as needed.
  • Provide Coaching to Managers at all levels as needed.
  • Special Projects as needed.

  

Experience/Education:

 Bilingual in Spanish/English. Three to Five years of Human Resources experience. Bachelor degree preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft office.  Kronos experience is very helpful.   Manufacturing experience preferred. Must have good communication skills both written and verbal.
